Lazy Sunday
Lazy Sunday spent trying to sort out someone's laptop. Computers at times can really do your head in! You can, as I have just done spend hours trying to get someone's on-line email account to work with Outlook to no effect. The endless loop and no clear idea why the bloody thing won't work! Please no its-so-much-easier-on-a-Mac comments, or I may come round and kill you.
Postscript - After a long on-line conversation with a nice Sky person and trying lots of things - finally a result. Now the solution was totally different from their set-up instructions - No surprsie there then!!!

Hand stitched
"Your pretty face is going to Hell ..." I should have got closer. Then again maybe I shouldn't!
An excellent day seeing the results of the good works. An opera written, designed and performed by the prisoners (7 years +) of HMP Shotts in conjunction with Scottish Opera, the Scottish Chamber Orchestra and Motherwell College Learning Centre HMP Shotts. Inspiring! Can the arts really make a difference?

View from a bridge
Wander around SD's Village early on Sunday morning while D having a swim. Like just wandering about with camera (compact) to see what I can see. Then to Tesco for stuff and the Sunday papers. Spend the afternoon sorting out a laptop that needed some TLC. Quiet weekend all round.

Scotch Mist
After a lot of research and some good advice from impoftheyard, ordered a Lensbaby today (Composer). This shot isn't. Taken a while back on a naturally misty night in Edinburgh with my trusty Fuji compact.

Life's a beach
A blah blah day, but in a good way. What a difference a day makes. Radcliffe & Maconie always put me in a good mood. These guys are somehow hot wired to the psyche of males of a certain age. Hafdis Huld on talking about the influence of Dolly Parton. The icelandic accent is brilliant. The music isn't bad either.
I love signs that you glance at, do a double take, and think what does that mean! Pests, somewhere between caution and unsafe.

Lobster creels on the pier
Another old one. Taken in April 2009 in Tobermory, Isle of Mull. Business/pleasure, Mull Theatre & An Tobar. Tobermory has (according to Lonely Planet) one of the top 5 recommended restaurants in Scotland. Have to agree this place is something special - Cafe Fish. Would happily eat my way through the entire menu (only partly achieved to date!)
Usual day at the coalface. Pleasant lunchtime with chums - A Play, A Pie, and a Pint (not in that order) at the Traverse . The Shattered Head - Bite sized theatre in an easily digestable form.
More Mull images on my Flickr feed if your interested.

Just another day in the city
Another old one. Taken in November of last year. Not much of a building, but photographs well.
Uneventful day at the coalface.

Bags of Sticks ...
... are what you get when you chop down Trees.
This is an old one that I took last November with my trusty Finepix F50fd (she's a wee gem).
Not likely to be much in the way of photo taking during the week until the days get a bit longer, apart from the Iphone stuff that is, but I won't be posting that here (link to the ongoing Iphone Project at the top of the page).
Average day at the coalface. Highlight, one of Liggy's cakes (thanks Sarah my turn next week)
