I had to look to the archive to find a suitable image for today!The last day of the Scottish Arts Council and Scottish Screen. Tomorrow we move forward as Creative Scotland the new national development body for the arts, screen and creative industries. The mission to “invest in ideas, invest in talent, invest in education, and invest in places”. The intention that we will be more of a “rallying call” than an institution. We will be taking a holistic view at the contribution that the arts, screen and creative industries play in the quality of life and economy of

ReplyDeletesleepyduck - yes, but not until later in the year. The intention is that we will have two offices, one Glasgow (currently occupied by Scottish screen)and one in Edinburgh (possibly more hot desking in other locations in due course). My 'base'(I will be out and about probably a lot more, roaming the country doing good works!) will be Waverleygate (the old general PO building). I have seen the plans and it will be a very different environment from the current occupation of Manor place.
